Incredible. But just bone chilling. I mean, who hasn’t experimented a little with that sort of thing? Then you read it and look back to realize how easy it could happen. *shudder*
Omg. I read it as a teenager and it made me kind of not like Stephen King (and I love Stephen King most of the time). Some parts of it are very clearly a man writing things trying to think like a woman. The thing that stuck with me was he called a pad a c*&t diaper. I finished the book but felt really uncomfortable the whole time.
One of my favorites. Truly terrifying.
It’s so graphic
Yes. But part of the terror is how realistically it could happen. ?
@Letitia that would be awful!
Definitely hard at points! Good read overall
So far it’s pretty graphic. It’s been ages since I read it the first time and I completely forgot all about it.
Yes, very realistically terrifying. Well written, though!
I like that it gives perspective from the dogs side of the story. I thought that was pretty cool
I need to read it! I haven’t had the chance but my guy and i watched the movie on netflix and we loved it
You definitely should!
The movie was hard to watch. Especially what she had to do to break free
It’s worse reading it then watching it believe it or not. ?
This book completely freaked me out! It could truly happen!
Definitely turned me away from any thoughts about bondage ?
@Katie me too!!
I read it once when I was younger but I’m re reading it now because I don’t remember to much.
Not my favorite, but worth the read
Which is your favorite king book?
@Katie probably The Stand. I thought the way he showed how the flu spread was brilliant
@MaryAnn it’s on my list. I want to read all of Stephen kings books lol
Finished reading it a month ago. I enjoyed it
Twins! Lol
Honestly it being mostly mundane kind of made it scarier than the supernatural books.
I agree. I wonder if this has happened to anyone? Lol
I thought it was pretty good.
It’s ok
One of my favorites of SK’s, the movie wasn’t bad either.
I Finished, Readin’ It—-But Did Not Read Any Of His, For Years!!! After That One!!!
Hated it
Very good read!!
Very good!! One of his best! If you’re into “adult” games, might make you reconsider!!☺
Read it in high school (stole it from my older sister) and put me off bondage for life. ?
I took it from my parents. I remember reading it but can’t remember if I finished it or what happened so I thought I’d give it another go.
That movie was good.
So hard to watch
It scared me. But to me,King is an excellent writer. He does not disappoint.
I didn’t care for IT. But I really like this one.
Incredible. But just bone chilling. I mean, who hasn’t experimented a little with that sort of thing? Then you read it and look back to realize how easy it could happen. *shudder*
It definitely turned me away from trying anything like that. ?
Not my favorite King book
It is a harrowing read. Some parts were best “hinted”, and left for the imagination.
The book was excellent, the movie meh

I agree with you. I didn’t like that either
Great book! Has you sitting on the edge of your chair
My least favourite king book
What is your favorite? I’ve read IT, Gerald’s game, dream catcher and under the dome.
@Katie I love Salem’s Lot, The Talisman, Misery and The Dark Tower Series. I have 11/22/63 to be read soon.
@Maheswari I’ve been meaning to read the dark towers books for the longest time
@Katie my favorite book is The Stand it is the first book I read by Stephen King
This is one of my favorites of favorites of Steven King. It is terrifyingly real.
Not my favorite
pretty good! Also try to catch it on Netflix, very good transition to screen
