Oh yes!!! There’s like five books about the Murrays… Wind in the Door, Arm of the Starfish… Swiftly Tilting Planet… Think Arm of the Starfish is more about Meg’s kids… But it’s still the Murrays
It’s fortunate you picked that one up… The others don’t really HAVE to be read in order… but it kinda helps to know a bit of the background and how the characters interact with each other 🙂
I remember my sixth grade teacher reading this to us after lunch recesses. I read this to each of my three children and also listened to the audio version numerous times. It was by far my favorite of the series.
Yes, my mother read it as a child, and she gave me her copy when I was ten. I still think it’s,and the series, are some of the best YA books out there. I used to recommend it to kids who came into the library who weren’t sure what they were looking for.
Years ago, recently started reading it again though
Get the rest of the series!!! You’re welcome 😉
It’s part of a series??

@Cindy thank you 🙂
Like Christmas morning when I can put someone onto the rest of a series when they thought it was a single 😉

@Cindy This one was in cinema and I missed it, so I was curious as to what it was like so got it on my Kindle.
And I think it’s the last two that are about adult Meg… So there would be spoilers about her childhood if you read those first
Movie is pure garbage. They “modernized” the story to appeal to hipsters 🙁
Either movie version… There might even be three, but I know there’s at least two. The old one and this new release
Aaaand down the rabbit hole I go..
I’m finding a 2003 release too, but I am almost POSITIVE they made an earlier version as well, back in the 80’s
I love A Swiftly Tilting Planet
Many times, but years ago…..when it was only three books!!

I read it when I was in elementary school! I just got it for my son and I’m temped to borrow it. Lol.
Do it….go on, do it!!! ?
It’s a quick little read… You can have it finished before he’s ready to start it 😉
Nearly done with it! Started it right after seeing the movie, but I keep getting library books…
Yes– so long ago…I like her other books too.
Yes! Loved it!?
Not yet, but I have it.
Finished it yesterday! Really liked it!

One of the first books I ever read it started my love of reading!!!
Read it in second or third grade, and reread it frequently as a child.
I’m hoping to read it very soon!!
I’ve been reading it every couple of years since I was 10! One of my all time favorites. I can’t wait for my kid to read it. Enjoy your journey
Yes love it
Yes. I read it last year and simply loved it.
Love the whole series! =)
Yes!!! Love, love, love that book.
I introduced my son to SF/fantasy with that book nearly 50 years ago! It’s wonderful – I doubt the movie will come close.
Just finished it. The”new” movie was horrible.
I did, but didn’t enjoy it
I did in elementary school, I plan to read it again soon.
It is a favorite of mine/
