Big fan here, my favorite book is norwegian wood, i even started studying japanese so i could read his original work ?
@Addy i would add the wind-up bird chronicle to these two, btw do you have any other favorite book from another author ?
I bought his book Kafka on the Shore, this is going to be the very first novel of his that I am about to read. I have a feeling that I am going to like it! 🙂
My best friend gifted Kafka on the shore to me, it was my first Murakami novel too. Fell in love with it. ?
Yep! Although the more you read his work, more similar they become. ? My favourite is probably Kafka on the Shore.
Currently reading the wind up bird chronicle, bits of book 1 were hard going (the stuff about the war)
Yes! I loved 1Q84, read that 5 or 6 years ago! I just read a few of his short-story collections and Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki last month.
I just won an ARC of his newest book. I’ve never read his stuff, but I’m really looking forward to it.
