Am I the only one who bought lots of book and haven’t read yet half of them?Am I the only one who bought lots of book and haven’t read yet half of them? Raisul #questionnaire
You are not alone
Omg me…i have a problem
Nope…wonder if buying, physically touching & having books is better than reading.
Things that make me go hmmmm. ?
Yes. You are the only one ever who has ever done that. And no, you may not look at my credit card statement.
I have about 300 books bought this year only read about 30 of them
You definitely are not alone. ????
Not at all. I have a personal unread library of nearly 1,000 books.
You are not alone?
Nope, you are in good company!
Nope I do the same thing
My trouble is despite saying I won’t, I keep seeing recommendations so end up buying more before I get a third of a way through my pile!
No, you aren’t, I have thousands of printed books and more ebooks than printed.
Yes….and I keep buying, which increases the size of the mountain I’m scaling…
I’m the same
my TBR pile ?
That just a random photo. Right?
you sound worried like my hubby!!! hahaha..yeah, it was featured in an article called “tsundoku”. ?
Yes! I’ve turned to @Cozy to find some of them new homes!
No I’m the same
I’m the same
I’m sad to say I did the same this year.
I think of it as collecting ?
I won lots of books and haven t read them yet!
No, not by a long shot.
I get alot from library and don’t read some of them if I start and don’t like I go to next
I have heaps
I’m with you!
Yes I’m the same
?… and I’m still buying!
Boxes and boxes and boxes and boxes
Because I never know what I might be in the mood to read. So many times I’ve had a conversation with a random person and I’ve been able to say, “wait, I have the perfect book for you.” Then I run and get it!!
Yes me too
Hell no I am going to be 68 next month and I wondering who will read them after I am gone.
Nope. I have a TBR stack for next year, so excited.
I have several life times worth of books —
You’re not alone.
No but I’m not like you. I wish I could have a library of TBR.
That’s what my retirement is for. Making great progress
Me too — but I can’t stop buying books, although I’ve slowed down considerably.
I’m here too
And keep buying more. We’ll catch up eventually.
I BOUGHT 37 BOOKS AND I HAVENT READ THEM YET ASKAJSKKAHSJAJHSBDNXNNX
Yes me too
Probably not. I bet I am the only one on this page who doesn’t have a TBR pile. Hehehe
Nope. I have 3 book shelves full f bts that I haven’t read
Half? I think I’ve read a quarter if I’m being generous. Bought three more today. 😀
Nope! My goal is to never read all of my never-ending TBR! So far I’m doing well with said goal. ?
You my friend are not alone.
I buy books almost daily ? lol … working next to a second hand shop that sells books at 20p is just rude not too
Your not alone lol
Welcome to the club lmao
Nope me to lol
I think it’s quite normal…..isn’t it? ?????
I have done the same thing. Yes, its normal.
I will seriously need a 2nd lifetime with a job that pays me to read to get through my TBR pile
Definitely not haha
Nope me to
No: I have hundreds of unread books. And keep buying. I think it might have something to do with the fact that for years I was an editor at a book publisher. Or perhaps that’s just an excuse.
1200 catalogued books, 800 to be read.
I have 2000 that I have not read and will not live long enough to read them.
Nope. I have also done that.
You’re not alone! I have an entire bookcase full of unread books.
It’s called a library. We own a library. What is wrong with that?
Nope not alone
Yes and I keep getting more ??♀️
Me. So many
You’re not the only one
Nope. I had gotten a full bag for 18. Plus books i had for years. Lol.
No you’re not! I do that all the time!
You are so very much *not* the only one!
When I got my kindle I went crazy . I start a ton and then get overwhelmed .. stop reading then buy some more ?
I have a bunch of books in my Nook. Some I’ll read, some I’ll remove. But I have hundreds on my PC.
You are most definitely not alone!
YUP!!! Same here!
You’re not alone. I’m guilty as well.
Don’t get me started lol
No. I did the same thing
I think that’s almost the norm to most readers.
No I’m also guilty
@Raisul may I ask how long ago you bought the books? ?
In good company y with that one.
Yes! Jk, no ?
Uh huh……….. *grins cheerfully* I find it comforting that I have all of them still to read.
At the library where I used to work we called them Just In Case, the weather gets bad and can’t get to the library.
Its ridiculous how many books I have in my tbr pile.
I purchase a lot of kindle books for book emergencies, but I never read them because I love library books so much
I’ll see all these cool bookcase/ home library photos and lists of “books you should read if ” . . .and wonder how long it would take to read all those “lists” if I finally set up the library room and stocked the cases? If I took a whole week vacation and just locked myself in there with a mini-fridge and only came out to answer the door for pizza delivery, I could knock them off then.
That I’m sure Christine is every ones dream that is in this group.
No! I’m right there with you!! I think I’m secretly saving them for when I get really old and lonely!!!
Nope I’ve done the same
Whenever I finish one of my treasured stash I find myself panicking as if they will all suddenly disappear, don’t know if thts normal though ??
I bought some from the thrift store last week. Still in my car. Bought 3 bags of them!!
Ooh! Show us what you bought!!
@Kim WOW! Amazing finds!
I know! I couldn’t believe it!
I have not read most of my books- slowly reading them.
Here’s just the Kindle TBR (thanks, Bookbub!)
Yes, ebooks are my hoarding weakness. Probably have nearly as many in the queue at Scribd. Need a faster reading method or more time to enjoy them. ?
Right! I have over 2K ebooks. ?? Even if, somehow, I DID read all my physical copies, which I highly doubt, it’d take me forever to tackle these. ?
I own 150 tbr books
I am an old and devout book junkie. I can’t resist them. Idk how many books I have, but I’ve got a library full of them & more in every room, with a special cabinet for signed copies. I’ve read most of them but there are plenty I haven’t gotten around to yet. It doesn’t help that I love rereading my favorites or that I keep finding great new reads on kindle. ?
Whaaat!!?? I should rob you off them books ? then
All of you need to read an article I recently penned: Enjoy! https://cncbooksblog.wordpress.com/…/am-i-addicted-to…/
No, you are not the only one!!
Same here!!! I wish I had more time for reading! ?
Have no time
i’ve read most of them, only 5 remain unread. and 3 of those is because i’m waiting for the last in the series
I just unpacked 20 boxes of books to put in my new bookcases and I have only read three of them.
No, you are not. I have bought so many books and I will never read them, but I keep buying more. ?
It’s the story of my life.
You never walk alone! Lol
We’re on the same page bro ?
You are not alone in doing this. I have a plan in place – I buy books now in case I am made redundant from my workplace and might not be in a financial position to buy books.
I’m there also RIGHT behind you and Fee Roberts
Nope. I have a bookcase, a shelf, and a cabinet of unread books. From clearance and library book sales and trips to half priced books. There’s just always something good to buy 🙂
LOL. Can I say that most of mine are ebooks I haven’t read yet. But, hey. It saves me from making a mountain of books in my little space.
@Kirby but I like to see the mountain of books. ?
