A good medieval story?
The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco
Love that book !
A masterpiece ?
That one is pure beauty.
I’ll give it a shot! Thanks
I just started reading The Lost Queen by Signe Pike. Good so far but supposedly the first of a trilogy
*shameless plug* I have the first of my fantasy adventure trilogy available. It’s about Viviana, a lord’s daughter, with the ability to heal and manipulate fire. She has to figure out how to control her ever growing powers before she hurts or even kills someone she loves. As civil war lingers in the air, she must travel from her land to seak help and find out what she truly is. You can find it on Amazon, if you are interested.
Cadfael stories by Ellis Peters.
Excellent choice. I’m reading #12 of 20 right now.
Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett.
“The Walking Drum” by Louis L’Amour
A dream of eagles set or anything by Philippa Gregory
Eyes of the dragon by stephen king is a good fantasy medieval book.
Elizabeth Chadwick’s books about William Marshall.
I am currently reading “Kristin Lavransdatter” set in 14th century Norway, written by Nobel Prize Winner Sigrid Undset. It is a large, 1000+ pages piece though 🙂
The Name of The Rose
Maybe a stretch, but I’d nominate Timeline by Michael Crichton
That’s a good recommendation!
Really was a very good novel indeed.
“The Welsh Trilogy” by Sharon Kay Penman are also some good novels . . . along with the Plantagenet novels she wrote.
Just thought of another I really enjoyed about 10 years ago . . . “The Heaven Tree Trilogy” by Edith Pargeter. 12th century England & Wales.
A game of thrones
A song of Ice and fire (Game of Thrones)
The Mists ofAvalon
The eura chronicles, Morgan Rice has so many medieval novels that are awesome
