I would say yes ….. especially reading her bio and the book Rebecca she was definitely a modern day writer the subjects she discussed. I do wonder if her books would be different today than they were in her era.

I say that because in literature novels written in the 1900’s past World War 1 are considered “modern classics” even if they are not really modern anymore.
