I LOVE Laini Taylor! (And I’m nowhere near YA age range, or particularly fond of fantasy normally, but she is fantastic!) “Daughter of Smoke and Bone” is Book 1 in her ‘Daughter of Smoke and Bone’ trilogy.
Hey, Vanessa Lynn Estrada — what about “Daughter of Smoke and Bone”; or Taylor’s latest., Book 1 in a new trilogy (Again I loved this one too.) “Strange the Dreamer”?
I love the Jackaby books by William Ritter. I’ve heard them described as a mash-up of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Who, and I’d say that’s a pretty fair description. Rollicking good fun!
I read a good bit of YA, I’m finishing Maggie Stiefvater’s Mercy Falls trilogy right now (teen werewolves).
I looooove Maggie! Have you hit the Raven Boys yet?
Yes, much better series! This one is well written but just feels very light and fluffy in comparison ?
Maggie is amazing. She’s my favorite author. Her Scorpio Races is a fantastic stand alone
@Kristi oh yes!!
Just read All the Crooked Saints by Maggie Steiefvater and is was so so good.
@Sarah I haven’t read that yet!

Just finished Laini Taylor’s Strange the Dreamer, and gutted that book two isn’t published yet.
I know! I HATE having to wait for the next book.
Yep! I’m putting Strange the Dreamer on the back burner for that very reason. Caraval too.
I love the Jackaby books by William Ritter. I’ve heard them described as a mash-up of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Who, and I’d say that’s a pretty fair description. Rollicking good fun!

Me! This is one if my favs
My favorite is Leigh Bardugo’s Six of Crows.
I really enjoyed that one. Good premise for a movie.
I’m in the middle of the first right now. It seems like it will be a very exciting series.
Yes! One of my recent favorites is The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness.
Oh! That’s a good one!

I absolutely XOXO young adult fantasy and fiction!
Has anyone read The Iron Fey series by Kagawa?
Fab series. Give them a go. If you like them try Melissa Marr’s Wicked Lovely series which is one of my all time favourites. x
I really enjoyed them but hadn’t found anyone else who’s read them.
No @Julie but I read The Iron Codex trilogy by Caitlin Kittredge.
I read a lot of this genre. Love it. Sarah J Maas books are great. x
