I sometimes feel that way but have taken to checking out 4 or 5 potentials and bringing a few back mostly unread if they’re painful. I recently dumped one because the rambling way the author wrote drove me nuts. And another because I skipped ahead and it killed my interest so that’s my bad

It’s a really good series, my friend struggled with it at first, power through and it will be worth it

I always finish a book even if it wasn’t worth my time – I can’t not finish. What if it gets better?

I always push through a book. Sometimes it’s the second half or ending that make a book amazing.
