Don’t know if it’s YA but Red Rising is awesome
Gone by Michael Grant!
Unwind!
Rot & Ruin series, if you like zombies. And I think the Chaos Walking trilogy might count?
The Selection series and the Gone series are both great.
Uglies, or the Forest of Hands and Teeth
Just finished Dry by Neal Shusterman. Could not put it down! I know it’s not a series but you could also read his other series books Arc of a Scythe and Unwind.
I loved Flawed by Cecelia Ahern!!!!
Legend by Marie Lu
The Atlantis Grail series by @Vera. (Qualify, Compete, Win)
Life as we knew it series by Susan Beth Pfeffer!
@Maria omg this series is so underrated!
I rarely see anyone talking about this series. It made me feel so cold! Lol.
Also, I count Miss Peregrine’s Home as kinda dystopian?
Pendragon (not necessarily dystopian but has some in it)
Earth Girl trilogy
Unwind series is SO good!
Yes! Agreed!
I was going to suggest this too!
Red Rising, absolutely, without a doubt
I loved the Matched Triology and The Darkest Minds
The lunar chronicles ??
The lunar chronicles ??
The Darkest Minds.
@Ella yes!!
Unwind, The Giver, The Lunar Chronicles
The Winner’s Curse
idk if it counts as dystopian or whatnot but the 5th wave series is really good!
Eve series by Anna Carey
I am Number Four (series)
Across the Universe (series)
Forrest of Hands and Teeth (series)
Life As We Knew It (series)
The Gender Game (series)
Trylle series Amanda Hocking
Does Red Rising count as YA? If so Red Rising 100%. If not then still Red Rising because it’s amazing.
Unwind by Neal Shusterman. Books 1 & 4 are amazing. 2 & 3 could’ve been one book.
Lunar Chronicals, Matched❤️
Try Gambit by CL Denault.
I don’t like dystopian books but it was written by a girl I went to high school with. The sequel is out or will be soon.
Also James Patterson’s Witch and Wizard series is dystopian.
The Newsflesh series if you like zombies
The Legend series!
Uglies for sure it’s just so good I never read anything like that before
It’s not a series but Only Ever Yours by Louise O’Neil was excellent.
Not a future but the Noughts and Crosses series by Malorie Blackman is highly recommendable!
The Unwind Series
The giver
# Murdertrending (Gretchen McNeil)
Arc of a Scythe Series (Neal Shusterman) *
All Rights Reserved (Gregory Katsoulis)
Monsters of Verity Duology (Victoria Schwab)
Partials Trilogy (Dan Wells) *
Taken Trilogy (Erin Bowman) *
* are my favorites ?
Shatter Me, The 5th Wave, Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi, and Pure by Julianna Baggot
Delirium!
HIS DARK MATERIALS! By Philip Pullman. About to be a series on HBO starring Lin Manuel Miranda. So good. So so soooo good!
Parable of the Sower and it’s sequel Parable of the Talents by Octavia Butler. They were written in the 90’s but there are a lot of parallels to today which makes it a scarier dystopian story imo. But it’s about a girl who founds a new religion called Earthseed in the midst of all the chaos.
The Call by Peadar O’Guilan
The Evermore series by Alyson Noël?
Thank you for all the suggestions!! Adding all of these to my tbr! @Katie I just started the gender game series!
@Michaela awesome!!! It has a spin off series as well, the first book is called The Girl Who Dared to Think.
