Gerald’s Game. I’m not sure if it was the book itself or the atmosphere I read it in, or both. At the time I was working overnights in an extremely old, large house that was being used as an assisted living facility. The place was a stereotypical drafty, dark building that would make anyone think ‘haunted house.’ It was the early hours of the morning and I got to this particular part…… it was so scary!!!!
started to read The Long Walk.. knowing King, I was expecting the worst.. first few pages got me hooked.. I love that his story is fast-paced with few words in..
