@Kim I’m not into this type of genre so if it keeps my interest that’s a plus in my book…. lol I liked the story line. It kept me interested. I liked the struggle she went through but still had a need to help others. “ doctors make the worse patients “ mentality….. she couldn’t see that alcohol was ruining her. I liked the thriller side to it because it made me believe that she really was hallucinating. And usually I’m able to correctly guess the ending, I guessed wrong.
So where does all the hate for this book come from, @Kim? Any theories? I haven’t read it yet, but I’m curious and baffled, and would love to hear your thoughts on it.
@Dustin, I truly don’t know. Maybe that it is a very small book for the price. I totally loved it, one of his best as of late. Merry Christmas to you and yours! ?
That’s possible. I know it’s less than two hundred pages; a novella. What is the publishers price? I am encouraged that you think it’s one of his best in recent years. I am so far behind in recent SK. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
@Tina I so miss Borders. I remember all the MANY wonderful books I bought as they went out of business. I have used a Kindle since though really now for six years.
It’s wonderful! I didn’t realize it was the first in a series til I finished it (all 704 pages) :).
I’ve read Elizabeth Chadwick’s wonderful books about the Marcher border lords, but this was the first book I’ve read that focused on a Welsh Prince, Llewelyn the Great, who married King John’s oldest daughter, Joanna.
I’ve already put #2 and #3 on hold at our local library and can’t wait to read them!
Woman in the window
