Has anyone else read the Red Sparrow trilogy? I am half way through the last book and would love to see what others thought of them.

I really liked them. Dominika is the best.
Ok I am getting so annoyed. I feel like half of the second and third books are recaps. It’s gets good at the end of each but he spends so much time reintroducing each of the characters and their histories. I want to write the author and say, dude can you please write just one large book instead of a trilogy. You really could condense all of that down to one book if you stop retelling me everything!
I do love the characters and once each story gets going he knows how to keep you in suspense. I just wish they were better edited.
@Jennifer! Yep! ?
I need to look into those. They sound interesting.
I’m next on the library waitlist for the first one! Didn’t actually realize it was a trilogy. With all the repetition mentioned above, is it worth reading all three?
I would say yes because the first book ends on a major cliff hanger and the story keeps going through the next two. That’s why I think it would be better as one book rather than three.
Ok, good to know what I’m getting myself into!
***Spoiler alert***
Ok finished the third book last night and am in mourning today. Up until the end I had high hopes for a happy ending. Screw you Jason Matthews and your stupid story. It’s like someone killed his puppy as a kid and he needs to watch the world burn ?
I’m enjoying the recipes at the end of each chapter. Do you think he had the recipes in mind first and then figured out a way to fit the food into the chapter?
Also, the fact that there is food in every chapter (at least so far – I’m on Chapter 6), makes me think of Ocean’s Eleven and how Brad Pitt came up with the idea to make sure he was eating in pretty much every scene he’s in.
