I am as well, Anita Blake, Harper Blaine, Mercy Thompson, and Sookie Stackhouse series to name a few. At that this time, two of them have come to an end and I am looking for another to follow.
I am a series junkie but it has to be Lakeshore Chronicles by Susan Wiggs. The books are detailed and complext. Characters are interesting. And I just love that part of the country.
I liked Divergent better than Hunger Games. Shadow Falls, Morganville Vampires, House of Night, Maximum Ride, Harry Potter, Amanda Hocking trilogies (author’s name)
Randy Smith Of course! People suggest reading the first three Mortal Instruments, then the prequels, then the last three. I’ve liked it that way so far
Don’t forget there’s 3 more set 5 years after the mortal instruments. The Dark Artifices. There’s two out Lady midnight and Prince of shadows. The third one is out in December it’s called Queen of Darkness.
Harry Potter and A Song of Ice and Fire. I also love all the ShadowHunter novels by Cassandra Clare (The Mortal Instruments series, The Infernal Devices series, and the Dark Artifice series), Throne of Glass, and, The Dark Tower series!
Thanks… I just realized that I had started the Shadow Hunter series lost the book someplace in the house. I will be checking out the others thanks for taking the time to suggest these 🙂
It definitely makes me interested to read those mentioned if people felt strongly enough to put them above everything else! I’ll go with a favorite I just finished up recently – the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs
The only series I’ve ever read is the 50 Shades Trilogy ????? but I am on book #1 in the Michael Bennett series by James Patterson. I can’t wait to read more of Patterson’s series.
@Katy i think I have like 2 of the league but i dont remember the stories anymore? I fell inlove with the humor and romance in Dark hunter ..especially Ash?
@Wine it has been awhile since I have read Styxx. But, I had much more respect for him after that book. And, love how Ash & Styxx have gotten past their past and gotten to a good place and work together as well.
The Eleanor of Aquitaine Series and William Marshal Series by Elizabeth Chadwick, The Plantagenet Series by Philippa Gregory, The Seven Sisters Series by Lucinda Riley. They’re wonderful!
J.D Robb’s In Death series. JR Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood. Outlander, Dark Tower series, Laurell K Hamilton’s Anita Blake Series. Sooooo many more.
I have so many “favorites,” but when in commercial fiction, I keep going back to the McCloud series by Shannon McKenna, which starts with “Behind Closed Doors.”
Series: Diaries of the Family Dracul Why: because the characters are well developed and stay themselves throughout the series, the gothic setting feels so “alive”, and I just love classic style vampires (without all the “flash”).
I’ve always loved Stephen Donaldson’s The Mirror of Her Dreams and its sequel, A Man Rides Through. The heroine is so clever and gets herself out of the most difficult situations and it made me think, would I have thought to do that? Probably not, I just would have died. ?
Jennifer Chiaverini’s Elm Creek Quilters. It is so good, there is friendship, back stories, and lots of historical facts about how quilts played a part in the Underground Railroad. Such a great series. Wish I could go back and read them again for the first time.

The Blessing series by Beverley Jenkins. It is a feel good series with great plot twists.
I have read a few of her books and I will have to check out that series.
James Patterson Women’s Murder Club series
2 books done and enjoying it so far!!
@Justine I am waiting on the next one to come out. Have read them all and enjoyed them all. Enjoy your reading!
I like them too, I do think the first few was the best.
@Charlotte I feel the same but i still enjoyed them all. The first few were the best of the series.
I’m a romance and horror fan! What a mix!
I am as well, Anita Blake, Harper Blaine, Mercy Thompson, and Sookie Stackhouse series to name a few. At that this time, two of them have come to an end and I am looking for another to follow.
@Randy that is awesome. I need to check out the Sookie stack house books but I don’t usually mix the two genres. I try to keep them separated.
Give it a chance you will love it..
I am a series junkie but it has to be Lakeshore Chronicles by Susan Wiggs. The books are detailed and complext. Characters are interesting. And I just love that part of the country.
In the beginning I loved the Stephanie Plum series, Janet Evanovich, but they lack the pazz as the first dozen – LOL
True blood; it’s just romantic and thrilling at the same time
Patricia Cornwell and her Kay Scarpetta series. I like a lot of YA series too
I fall in love with the Hunger Games and I checking out some of the other YA.. do you have any suggestions?
The mortal instruments, The infernal devices and The dark artifices all by Cassandra Clare. The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon.
I liked Divergent better than Hunger Games. Shadow Falls, Morganville Vampires, House of Night, Maximum Ride, Harry Potter, Amanda Hocking trilogies (author’s name)
Karen Rose series – storyline and characters are great
Plantagenet/Tudor series by philippa Gregory
The In Death series by JD Robb. I’m reading #47 right now. ??
Harry Potter (of course). And I’ve been getting into the Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices! ?
I started the Mortal Instruments…now just got to figure where the book is
Love both!! Read both series 4 times and own both.
How many books are in the Mortal Instrument series and is that the shadow hunter series ?
@Leiah As soon as I read City of Bones I hopped on thriftbooks and ordered them all ? I have HP in hardback and paperback 🙂
@Randy Mortal Instruments is set up like two trilogies, so six there. Infernal Devices is the prequel trilogy so three more 🙂
YES I read the first book or rather listened to it loved it

Don’t forget there’s 3 more set 5 years after the mortal instruments. The Dark Artifices. There’s two out Lady midnight and Prince of shadows. The third one is out in December it’s called Queen of Darkness.
So many, the one with the most books is Strong In Death series. But a close second is the Molly Murphy series by Rhys Bowen
Outlander! Because it’s the best lol
For some reason my tablet misprinted a word , the series is by JDRobb, In Death series
Fool’s Gold Series by Susan Mallery
Harry Potter and A Song of Ice and Fire. I also love all the ShadowHunter novels by Cassandra Clare (The Mortal Instruments series, The Infernal Devices series, and the Dark Artifice series), Throne of Glass, and, The Dark Tower series!
Thanks… I just realized that I had started the Shadow Hunter series lost the book someplace in the house. I will be checking out the others thanks for taking the time to suggest these 🙂

How on Earth do you people pick one favorite? ?
I might be able to manage like top ten, lol.
LOL Kaitlin you don’t have to, I just thought I was making it easier .For like you have “a few” favorites
It definitely makes me interested to read those mentioned if people felt strongly enough to put them above everything else! I’ll go with a favorite I just finished up recently – the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs
@Kaitlin Yes I am collecting that series…kind of behind in reading but will catch up this fall and winter
The only series I’ve ever read is the 50 Shades Trilogy ????? but I am on book #1 in the Michael Bennett series by James Patterson. I can’t wait to read more of Patterson’s series.
Dark hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon! Love everything about it. The supernatural aspect and the romance. It is good for men and women.
I have the complete series?
@Wine how about her league series, CON and deadman series?
@Katy i think I have like 2 of the league but i dont remember the stories anymore? I fell inlove with the humor and romance in Dark hunter ..especially Ash?
@Wine know the feeling. I fell in love with Sherrilyn’s writing. She’s keeps me intrigued. Not many author’s do.
@Katy I was surprised/amazed how she lifted Styxx’s character ?
@Wine it has been awhile since I have read Styxx. But, I had much more respect for him after that book. And, love how Ash & Styxx have gotten past their past and gotten to a good place and work together as well.
@Katy yes true.
i pretty much have all her books, minus some in the league. I even have some signed!
Really enjoyed Stieg Larsson trilogy Millenium series. Great suspense, and consistent writing through all 3 novels.
I have like 10 tbh
The Eleanor of Aquitaine Series and William Marshal Series by Elizabeth Chadwick, The Plantagenet Series by Philippa Gregory, The Seven Sisters Series by Lucinda Riley. They’re wonderful!
Dune because it goes beyond just science fiction
That is true, I’m not sure if it’s almost epic..maybe that not right word.
@Randy To me it is epic. The layers within this series uncover a look into human consciousness and the order of existence.
Lauren Carr Mac Faraday series mystery with humor & Steve Demaree dekker series mystery with humor both has quite a puzzle to them?
J.D Robb’s In Death series. JR Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood. Outlander, Dark Tower series, Laurell K Hamilton’s Anita Blake Series. Sooooo many more.
Black Daggar Brotherhood, Midnight Breed, Riley Jensen, Harry Potter, Mortal Instructions, and Throne of Glass.
Sue grafton’s Alphabet murder series
I have so many “favorites,” but when in commercial fiction, I keep going back to the McCloud series by Shannon McKenna, which starts with “Behind Closed Doors.”
Series: Diaries of the Family Dracul
Why: because the characters are well developed and stay themselves throughout the series, the gothic setting feels so “alive”, and I just love classic style vampires (without all the “flash”).
