I’ve read Hidden Bodies. This ending doesn’t fit with that book unless they are going to replace a character in Hidden Bodies with… well, no spoilers. But I could see that working, I guess. I *think* the person shows up at the end of the first book. So maybe they are doing away with that character and they are having that role played by x from the show. I’m trying to be vague but also make sense. This is difficult. ??
I just finished this and I was kinda disappointed that they skipped 4 months and BAM she’s dead….I felt like it lead up to this climax of him and Beck and then just “oh she’s dead” if that makes sense. I mean it’s fine because the twist more than made up for it….but I did expect to see a little more of the show down between Joe and Back….and I didn’t expect *her* to show up….I’m intrigued to keep watching….
@Megan right?! Like in the book it was super amped to him killing beck. Then the show was pretty quick about it. Also the ending has me like how are you gonna fit that and explain it next season cause that’s not how the book went.
@Rachelle Right. I am intrigued though. I’m hoping maybe we’ll see flashbacks to his murder of Beck (that sounds really morbid I know) and it will be tied in with Candace showing up. I don’t mean her having anything to do with it, but maybe Joe’s interactions with her will trigger flashbacks for him, much like his interactions with Beck trigged flashbacks of his relationship with Candace this season.
Right now I’m in the process of catching up on the last 3 episodes of the season. Was the finale good?
@Lisa it was!
I have 1 more episode to watch!!
Just watched it …OMG… I hadn’t read the book. Was the series close to the book?
Yes. Very close. A few changes but same end result…
Wait! I take that back! I just watched the last minute. That was different!!
I thought so! Is that possible for that ending?! I havent read hidden bodies yet so I dont know!

@Amanda haha well in the end he meets a woman named amy Adams but in the show he meets “x”. Is it possible for “x” to be there?
@Rachelle I’m thinking X may take the place of Amy next season. It could work.
I think I need to read the books now.
You should! The second didn’t have to same magic for me but it was still a good read.
@Amanda it would have a lot of explaining to do!
Yeah. Whoa. My adrenaline was through the roof trying to go to bed after that last night!

@Megan hmm maybe!
