Boneshaker by Cherie Priest! Amazing series! It’s very steam punk/zombie/Civil War/airship battles! The first book takes place in Seattle and the rest of them are throughout the country. Really good series!
Slow Burn Apocalypse Z: Beginning of the end Unleashed: V Plague books Family Reunion by P. Mark Debryan Hell’s Children by John Monk Among Monsters then Red Hill
There’s been so many I couldn’t tell you the names of all of them. Hence, why I need to look up my history. Lol. Im working on the Perseid Collapse series right now. I recently finished up the Jakarta Virus… It’s decent.
The Dog Star by Peter Heller is a brilliant book. Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion is another cracker. The Walking Dead books are good reads if you are hardcore zombie (bit violent in places!!). Then there The Fifth Wave trilogy – aliens rather than zombies but excellent.
I finished it last week. It is a very weak “apocalyptic” book. Definitely more focused on the character tie-ins. The apocalyptic part is very secondary. I only share this because I went into it with the wrong expectations and was really let down. 🙁
The Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews is set in a post apocalyptic world. It doesn’t have zombies but the vampires are portrayed in a very zombie like way. The last book in the series is due out soon! ?
Warm Bodies was sweet, the Feed series was AWESOME!, and there’s one from the zombie’s point of view that was really interesting though I can’t remember the name of it off the top of my head.
“I am Legend” by Richard Matheson. Much better than the movie and a very disturbing ending. “The Outsider” by Albert Camus: not strictly ‘apocalyptic’ but perhaps from a personal perspective in that the protagonist hurtles towards his own destruction!
The road? Apocalypse, but no zombies
I’ve heard that it’s boring?
I tried to watch the movie and couldn’t get into it.
It was really depressing to me, but not necessarily boring.
I can see how it would be depressing.
I prefer more exciting.
Even like books on the verge of thriller.
Last Book in the Universe? I remember loving that when I was younger. Don’t know how well it would stack up now, though.
Also look into a book series by Hugh Howey starting with a novel called Wool
The Passage series by Justin Cronin.
On the Beach. One Second After, One Year Later, The Final Day.
Following .. Id love to find some myself. This was good not your typical zombie book
Did you read the first one “Among Monsters”? Its from the oldest daughter’s perspective. Soooooo good!

Oh you have too! If you liked this one you’ll love the first one… I’ve read them both three times.
Ill have to reread this one too… Its been awhile! I just kinda stumbled across it .. But i liked it. It was your regular type of zombie type books

Station Eleven.
Way better than the movie
Not a zombie book, but Flowertown is a good apocalytpic feeling novel. Something a little different but an excellent read.
Holy cow I’m so excited right now!
Thank you so much everyone!
