I really enjoyed The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. It’s the only one I’ve listened to so far. I did get Shatter Me to listen to also, but I haven’t started it yet.
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon is Amazing. Davina Porter is the reader who got me hooked on audiobooks!
Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi is also super good.
Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer. Totally adorable
The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger.
Pretty much anything by Rainbow Rowell is awesome! Especially Eleanor & Park or Fangirl.
Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate.
If you like genre romance, The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare is hilarious! I absolutely adore anything read by Mary Jane Wells. She also read Lisa Kleypas’s Ravenels Series, so good!
Kathy Johnson MC is a survivor of serial killer who was never caught, now 20 years later she is a renowned psychologist studying serial killers but the old killer hasn’t forgotten her, and a new serial killer has everyone but her fooled, and he is not okay that she can see through his facade. Her friends start dying and she is the endgame. It’s really really good.
I had a hard time with this one on audio. Loved her other books so planning to read it in physical format. I couldn’t keep up with the multiple perspectives for some reason. Usually I don’t have a problem with different povs in audiobooks ?♀️
I’m listening to The Help right now and I am loving it. The first one I have been able to stick with. The chapters are divided into different women’s points of view. A different woman reads for each so that makes it much more interesting and not confusing. The readers have a deep southern drawl which sounds just like someone who is from that time and era. Worth a try and no wait from the library since it’s an older book.
@Renee hmm, that’s my least favourite book of hers , I think it was because my kids all have young children and I just couldn’t imagine something like that happening. All her others I love ❤️ (or maybe I could and it petrified me!)
In fact, based on my own recommendation I just downloaded “The Reversal” by Michael Connelly and started listening right now. It’s like running into an old friend. LOVE this series.
WHITE OUT BY KEN FOLLETT, STARTER FOR 10 AND QUITE UGLY ONE MORNING. REASON: DAVID TENNANT READS ALL OF THEM, AND IT IS REALLY WORTH IT JUST TO HEAR THE AMOUNT OF CHARACTER VOICES HE HAS IN HIS HEAD!!!!

Big little lies by Lianne Moriarty, great book and narrator
So good in audio!
@Renee yes, her voice really suits the character.
@Hazel : I believe she narrates all Lianne Moriarty books. “The husband’s secret” was my first audio of hers. So Good!

Alias Grace Margaret Atwood
Kristen Ashley’s Rock Chick series
If you like Urban fantasy I would suggest Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files. The voice actor is fantastic, utterly fantastic and so are the books.
City of Thieves by David Benioff. Any of the mammoth Ken Follett books. I LOVE the guy’s voice who narrates Pillars of the Earth.
I agree!! The Follett narrator is the best!!
