Not really a self-help book, it’s a daily devotional that was very helpful to me when my son died, “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young, I found it at Walmart.
Anything by Richard Rohr. The Book of Joy by the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu. Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster. Into the Silent Land by Martin Laird
I also have shelves of child development and substance abuse books, counseling books and some of my favorite psychology books. But that should keep you busy for awhile ):
The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A Fuck by Mark Manson – doesn’t feed you positive self-righteous lies. Definitely not spiritual, but I recommend it so forcefuly cause it’s a much needed straightforward kind of book. Doesn’t sugar-coat. Don’t read if you get offended by swear words.. But I liked it..it is Really good
