I’ll split my favourites between UK & the US. UK is obvious Val McDermid – absolutely no question and I’ll fight anyone who disagrees ?. For the US for me it’s Richard Montanari
He’s my fav author. His mind is just brilliant, he knows exactly what keeps my intrigued, there’s always a twist and no matter how hard I tried , at the end I’ll be surprised …. u should read more of his books
U should definitely read it , and as a beginning I highly recommend : The vanished man A maiden’s grave The coffin dancer And the collection of short stories ” twisted”
Not series The vanished man and the coffin dancer with the same brilliant detective Lincoln Rhyme but different cases ..A maiden’s grave is another story with other detectives
Have to admit, I always bought Robert Goddard’s book as soon as it appeared in May, but latterly, have let it slip. I have nearly all his hardbacks up to about five years ago, should get back to him really.

James has lost the plot, I am sad to say. I do not enjoy expressing negativity. However, whilst I enjoyed some of his earlier works I have found that his recent work is simply churned out. Money and fame is more important than quality and self-respect.

James has lost the plot, I am sad to say. I do not enjoy expressing negativity. However, whilst I enjoyed some of his earlier works I have found that his recent work is simply churned out. Money and fame is more important than quality and self-respect.
