Okay this may be a stupid question, but I have read and loved Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series. How good or bad is her other series?

I’m not huge for romance I like action packed novels but for a romance series it was pretty good

I LOVED the characters she created. They are pretty formulaic in terms of romance novels, but they are really well written. If you are undecided, I would recommend starting with Kiss of the Highlander and read the next two after that. It sets up the Fever series and Drustan and Dageus MacKeltar are amazingly fun men to swoon over. 🙂

I like anything paranormal romance. Contemporary is out the front door…

Read them and then re-read the Fever books and you’ll richer “fever” experience if that makes sense. You also recognize some characters who have cameo appearances in the Fever books.

They have romance, but there are a lot of funny parts, too. Yes, they are formulaic, but they are enjoyable.

My opinion is pretty much in line with @Miranda‘s. I loved the action and sauciness in Fever. The Highlander series is more like your everyday romance novel. I love the idea of a kilted hunk, but the series is old school romance novel. The author even sported a much more traditional look while writing those books compared to her hipper current look.

That’s okay, I’ll read most anything if it’s well written. 🙂 Just depends on my mood at the time as to what I pick up.

I have only read the first in the Highland series (I’ve got them all, just too many books, etc). I’ll read them, but they don’t hold the same draw for me that Fever did. I’m working on read #3 of Fever, and I probably won’t re-read the Highlander series.

Fever was great! When I get time to read for pleasure, I devour bunches of books. A lot of my reading time is spent editing these days. 🙂

I read highlander after i had read the majority of the fever series ( i don’t think shadowfever was out yet.) I agree that they are different, but the ones with Drustan, Dageus and Cian are well worth the read. It kind of gives a small “back story” on the Keltars.
