I really liked that book too, very creepy. Have you seen the movie? I didn’t think it was bad. It’s actually why I read the book, lol.

I thought it was weird they flipped the characters names in the movie but I liked both!

Just looked it up. Why with the Ben Stiller? I didn’t look far enough to see what character he plays but I can only imagine. I’ll watch it though, because, ya know….now I have to. HAHA

I think it’s a different one! He’s not in the one I am thinking of. The 4 friends on vacation together?

I think that must be a different movie lol: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0963794/
This is the one based on the Scott Smith book.

@Allyson ummm there might be 2 movies?? https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0963794/ I’m avoiding spoilers so didn’t dig too far…

Ohhh I see. Ben Stiller was a producer for the film but not an actor. Lol, probably would have been a very different movie if he was.

I read it years back, but I wasn’t a fan. I think the plant-thing just isn’t my schtick. I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying it, though! ?

@Lisa it’s more the ominous feeling of it than the plant itself. When it starts mimicking them though… ???

@Laura For sure. I do remember THAT being pretty effective.

I read it last year. I really enjoyed it but unfortunately I saw the movie when it came out so I knew the overall plot. I still loved the book though. Even bought it in my audible account.

I just watched the movie. Blech. If I had watched the movie first I don’t think I ever would have read it. The vines barely played a role because it all happened too fast and the character switching was annoying. Oh well. I LOVED the book. ?
