Elin Hilderbrand does great light beach reads.
Colleen Hoover, It Ends With Us or Confess.
Fun, light and Girly? Lol no offence , cuz i swear that is My Favorite book and i m in love with all CoHo’s novels, but the amazing romance aside, i wouldn’t say its Light and Fun at all. More like, Heartbreaking , gut wrenching?
Let’s just say I consider her books my light reads, despite the heartbreaks. When am reading heavy books, I have read hers and Jojo Moyes to neutralize the weight a little bit. But then again, I have a thing for heart breaking stories
Ok, no this i need to see. If CoHo is a light read, i d really appreciate it if you could recommend something heavier please? Cuz i always considered IEWU one of the most emotional books i ve ever read.
IEWU is my favorite CoHo book BTW. So am a polygamist reader who reads upto 6 books at a go, mostly different genres. Maybe a classical, historical fiction, self help, memoir, and another fiction. Some books take a toll on my brain, hence my need to have a CoHo for instance in the mix to keep a balance
It Ends With Us is also my favorite CoHo book.
Susan Elizabeth Philips is definitely light, funny, and romantic books.
Yes, I agree!
Although I really cried when reading Dream a Little Dream!
Jennifer Weiner also does a great job of this. Good in Bed is a favorite of mine from her.
Rachel Schurig, her Ransom Series is good. Follows a group of brothers who are in a band. Cute little love stories in each book

Elin hilderbrand, Sophie kinsella and Jane green
Sophie Kinsella is one of my faves. I’ve only read one Jane Green but none of their books are grabbing at me. 🙁
try the beach house and he sunshine sisters
Just lovely stories
I own me before you. But this looks cute
Kristin Higgins
Marina Adair, Jill shalvis, Susan malleey
Taylor Jenkins Reid
Emily March’s Eternity Springs series.
If you want to sometimes belly laugh and swoon a bit, Vicki Lewis Thompson and her Nerd series. Quick reads.
PS I love you. Great book
I absolutely love P.s. I love you. And if you could see me now is amazing too
Never read that one
Dorothea Benton Frank, Mary Kay Andrews
What do you suggest to start with by both of these authors? I want to read them but I’m always intimidated to start a new author.
I think with both you could start anywhere. Because they are, after all, quick beach vacationy reads. Maybe pick up The Weekenders by MKA and see what you think.
Milly Johnson, Carole Matthews, Debbie Johnson … all fab authors whose books are fun, well written, have great plot lines and are easy to read 🙂 A bit of fun, a bit of romance, a bit of drama … they’ve got it all !
Sweet Liar by Jude Deveraux is one of my all time favorites
Jill Shalvis. When I want light reading but still a good book that is the author I turn to. She’s also who I turn to if I’m in a book slump.
Nina George, Jenny Colgan, Sarah Addison Allen. Don’t know if Marlena de Blasi is really summer fluff..but I enjoyed her novels.
I second Sarah Addison Allen. Start with Garden Spells.
Sushi for Beginners. LOVE it.
I’ve read it a long time ago its cute
Jennifer Crusie writes funny romances with quirky characters. Welcome to Temptation, Getting Rid of Bradley, Tell Me Lies, What the Lady Wants, Fast Women . . .
Nora Roberts has written some light romantic trilogies . . . In the Garden trilogy, Inn Boonsboro trilogy, Bride Quartet . . .
Loved the bride quartet
Check out Erica Bauermeisters’ books: The School of Essential Ingredients, The Art of Mixing and Joy for Beginners. Very well written!!
Elin Hildebrand and Emily Griffin write good chic books.
My go to is Kim Gruenenfelder. Start with “A Total Waste of Make-Up”
Spring Forward
Every book written by Jennifer Crusie and Sarah Addison Allen. ♡♡♡
Katie MacAlister
Where’d You Go Bernadette?
One for the Money by Janet Evanovich.
I also recommend these books
I love books written by Robyn Carr. Just finished her Virgin River series.
Shari low. Jill mansel
undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella.
Not read.the whole thread so.apologies if she’s been mentioned but Sophie Kinsella is great for.light hearted, hilarious romance. Nicky Pellegrino (sp.?) is great too but don’t read her if you’re hungry, it’s all about the food, I think I put on a stone when I binge read hers a couple years ago lol
Anything by Jennifer Crusie would fit that bill. She’s very fun in the light, girly read.
A hundred Summers by Beatriz Williams
