I liked it a lot, after I got partway in. But I wouldn’t call it fast-paced. In fact, I put it down initially because I couldn’t get into it. (Unusual for me.)
Anything by John Grisham or Michael Crichton. Or, for great fun, the 14 Longmire Books, which are quite a bit different from the TV show in plot and all great fun.
A Simple Plan by Scott Smith. Two brothers and their friend stumble upon the wreckage of a plane…. the pilot is dead and his duffle bag contains four million in cash. In order to hide, keep, and share the fortune, these ordinary men all agree to a simple plan.
Have you read The Giver? Then there are 3 books that follow. I read a book a day. They are young adult fiction but I enjoyed them.
