I liked the Red Sparrow trilogy (Russia and our CIA).
Faithful spy
This is not a subject area that has appealed to me before, but this one looked too good to pass up! ? I haven’t read it yet, though.

I love Tom Clancy books written by Mark Greaney. They follow the same charters but there is enough info in each book to stand alone. My first one was true faith and allegiance. Then I read a couple earlier ones after that.
Executive orders is a page turner, as well as with out remorse,!

Advise and Consent by Allen Drury was written a long time ago and all about confirming a Supreme Court nominee. I think it would be an interesting read today.
