I really really wanted to like them. I like other things Jim Butcher has written, and helllooooo James Marsters. I enjoyed the first book, forced myself through the second, and gave up in the middle of the third. 🙁
The Help by Stockett, the Harry Potter series, Ruth Ozeki’s Tale for the Time Being, and David Mitchell’s 1000 Autumn Days of Jacob de Zoet, and The Circle by Dave Eggers are all great audio books, very different from each other but excellent.
Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd and One Man by Andrew Gross
Hunger by Roxane Gay
Any of the Flavia de Luce novels. Great narrator. Also “The Night Circus.”
The BBC has a wide variety of Audio cast performances .
Miss Julia series is entertaining. It is funny and I fell in love with the characters.

The Night Circus or Elinor Oliphant were both great.
The Dresden Files. James Marsters reads them so, so well.

I’ve noticed that folks either love the series or kind of hate it. Hello James Marsters indeed!
If you want to try a podcast, “S Town” was great, get it free from NPR

The Help by Stockett, the Harry Potter series, Ruth Ozeki’s Tale for the Time Being, and David Mitchell’s 1000 Autumn Days of Jacob de Zoet, and The Circle by Dave Eggers are all great audio books, very different from each other but excellent.
