Cathy Lamb’s new book comes out on the 29th, J.D. Robb’s In Death series is great, new book coming out Sept. 5th, and Stephen King has a new book coming out Sept. 26th. I am of course geeking out for August 29th and September to hurry up and get here!
I have “The Ocean At The End Of The Lane,” by Neil Gaiman. The author narrates it himself. I heard that he was very good. Also, you might try “What I Talk About When I Talk About Running,” by the author of Norwegian Wood. I cannot get to the Author’s name right now. Sorry.
I enjoyed Diana Gabaldan’s books on audio. If you don’t mine something less entertaining, In the Spirit of Crazy Horse by Peter Mattiesen is chilling and particularly pertinent in light of the Dakota Pipeline.
If you have a teenager, Angelfall by Susan Ee. If you like Alexander McCall Smith, The Minor Adjustment Beauty Salon. Interesting mild thriller set in the art world, The Art Forger by B.A. Shapiro. I also LOVED, Lian Hearn’s Otori series set in a fantasy medieval Japan (Grass for his Pillow and others)
Trevor Noah born a crime was hilarious for a book with some serious subject matter if you are into that sort of thing
The Alice Network or Beneath a Scarlet Sky.
Beneath a Scarlet Sky is the best book of 2017!
@Courtney I loved it too!!
Thunderstruck by Erik Larson. Or Child 44 & The Secret Speech by Tom Rob Smith (they r books 1 & 2 n that trilogy).
Behind Closed Doors
Just finished The Address by Fiona Davis if you’re into historical fiction. This one stays with you.
I loved In The Land Of The Long White Cloud
I “heard” Ghost Gifts by @Laura was great!
I don’t think it’s a brag if I say it won an Audie for Best Paranormal Romance for VO artist Nicol Zanzarella! She did an awesome job!! Thanks, Anne!
Definitely not bragging! I love hearing about award winning books of all types.
“The Home and the Homeless” by Austan Brown…
😉
