I just read The Woman in the Window… I’m traumatized. I really loved it. Read it in a day.
I love slow domestic thrillers… and this one did not disappoint in terms of twists and revelations… but I can’t re-enter the world for all the trauma I suffered at its hands.
I wish I could say more but I don’t want to give anything away. All I’ll say, to those who read it, is that the first big twist or revelation of the book caught me COMPLETELY by surprise… and that (and the scene in which it happens (the incident in Vermont)) is what I can’t shake.
I was reading the book late last night and after that particular reveal, I felt like I was plummeting from shock. I literally had to put the book down to digest.
I feel like I need an emotional pallet cleanser, but I find myself researching new thrillers.
UGH.
PS. I highly recommend this book, despite the fact that I’m totally shook.
@Allison I read The Last Time I Lied over the weekend and couldn’t put it down, so I am looking forward to reading Final Girls. Baby Teeth is interesting to say the least!
@Valerie I just finished it…sat at the kitchen table for 3 hours to do so. It was absorbing and now I want to cast off the creepiness with a good historical romance.
