I’ve had the original Paperwhite since 2012 and it’s still going strong!
I just ordered mine. I have a regular kindle and my eyes give out on me. Plus I can’t read in it at night. I can’t wait to get the paperwhite!
My bday is next week and it’s the only thing I asked for, and hubby is usually pretty good with that stuff, so I hope to have one soon.
I just looked into because I didn’t know they were coming out with another kindle. Bigger storage, water proof, and does audible. I liked everything but the audible part. Tried that once couldn’t stick with it. But I love my kindle so I don’t know! ?
I have the most basic kindle which I love!! The waterproof factor really appealed to me, as I love to read as I float in the pool. The way it’s lit is also appealing, as long as it’s truly glare free as it says, again, important for reading outside or on the beach.
I have the basic kindle too. But man that bigger storage ?
@Ashli I borrow most of my books from the library, so storage is not very important to me, but another plus for sure!

I love a book and pages, but a Paperwhite is so amazing and small and you can take it anywhere with hundreds of books on it! So much better than the regular kindle and the battery last forever! And you don’t need a nightlight! Mines from 2012 and still no issues. It’s been on a few deployments and it has held up great!
