Start from the beginning. Mistborn. Or do Elantris if you’d like a one off book.

I would recommend Mistborn?

If you want to start going deep into Sanderson, start with Mistborn and go through the Cosmere books. If you want a short one go with The Emperor’s Soul, which precedes Elantris by a few millennia. Steelheart and The Reckoners books are fun and not part of the Cosmere.

I’d start with Mistborn. Read the first series then move to Elantris. Only reason I’d say not to start there is that it’s his first book, and it shows. Get used to his style before picking up Stormlight.

I agree with Mistborn. That is where I experienced Sanderson for the first time after WOT.
