Lilac Girls, We WereThe Lucky Ones, All The Light We Cannot See, The Orphan Tale, Beneath The Scarlet Sky…. they’ll take you through different experiences of WWII… and some are TRUE stories!
Beneath a Scarlet Sky, All the Light We Cannot See, The Summer Before the War, The German Girl, The Race for Paris, The Book Thief, A Bridge Across the Ocean.
World War Two books, then? All The Light We Cannot See. Unbroken. Night. The Guernsay Potato Peel Society. (Can’t ever remember the real title). Night by Elie Wiesel. The Hiding Place.
Try Duet For Three Hands by Tess Thompson. It’s a historical fiction set just prior to WWII in the 30s in the deep south. The sequel, from what I understand, will touch on that.
