I just finished the first four books in Penny Reid’s Winston Brothers series. Hilarious, quirky, centered around 6 brothers and one sister – and I’ve walked away with a crush on a fictional man named Cletus. ?
Technically, the first book is Beauty and the Mustache, which is part of her other series, Knitting in the City (which I have not started yet), but I started with Truth or Beard and went back. It didn’t matter 🙂
I like a lot of teen romances and manga because of the lack of good adult romances, imho, and I loved Lynn Kurland, but her books have become way too formulaic.
What’s the point of that?! ? I read Nora Roberts “The Reef” this summer, not my favorite for the romance but I really enjoyed the scuba diving/treasure hunting aspect.
The Internet is for porn! Reading is for stories! 😀 I know a lot of folks like the panty drop romances, but not my thing. I donno, most of them I just roll my eyes at. 🙂
Rachel Joyce’s novels “The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry” and its companion novel “The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy”. Right now I’m reading her newest book “The Music Shop” which is also more plot than romance, and also delightful!
I’m a huge Nora Roberts fan and her stand-alone books (i.e. not partof a trilogy)are a great blend of plot with just enough romance to keep me satisfied. I recently read The Obsession and Angel Falls and thought both were excellent.
How about a fantasy/action novel with romance?
I love Seanan Mcguire and Gail Carriger, so Hells yeah 🙂

Could you tell me a title or author that you already enjoy?

Have you tried Susan Elizabeth Phillips? She has a funny series of contemporary romances that start with It Had To Be You.
Helen Hardt, steel brother series. There is about 9 books out and another coming out the end of the month.
Austenland! Just finished it and it was a joy from page 1.
I added this to my list the other day. Excited to read it!

Anne Rivers Siddons is my one of my favorites.
Im reading the longest ride. So good!!!

If you like historical and humor I recommend anything by Julia Quinn. Love her.
I don’t know how you feel about urban fantasy/paranormal romance, but anything by Ilona Andrews is fantastic.
Abigail Reynolds, Pride and Prejudice based books. Lots of romance and not a lot of sex.

I was surprised when I liked it so much. Had started reading it at my sister’s just to pass the time, ended up hooked!

The MacKade & Chesapeake Bay series are fun. The Witness and The Collector also excellent.
@Mel Time After Time series. Start with Distance and Time.
