I thought “The Firm” by John Grisham was pretty exciting. I also thought “Coma” by Robin Cook was an engrossing book.

If you’d enjoy thriller with a little paranormal thrown in, The Broken Girls by Simone St. James is very good.

The Mitch Rapp series by Vince Flynn is a great CIA/Assassin thriller series ??
Lisa Gardner and Harlan Coben have great thrillers but you’d have to check which to read as some involve abuse and I’ve read all their books and can’t remember which

Anything by B. A. Paris is good. “The Winner” by David Baldacci was really good and “A Simple Plan” by Scott Smith. Which by the way was made into a movie with Billy Bob Thorton. Good movie, but Its a page turner of a book.

If you like mysteries and animals, read the Creed series books by Alex Kava. Excellent Reads! Or if you like laughter, how about the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich.
