@Jaxx i watched the first movie after reading the first book and what I’m thinking is I want to watch the movies after each book. But I just realized I finished the second book and started the third one already lol but yes I am going to watch the movies too. I loved the first one! ?
Rick Barnes it took me months to get through each one of the books and I normally read pretty quickly. But I finished the series. I agree, I needed to take breaks and read a few lighthearted books in between.
Anything by pamela claire is good. Its more military suspense with romance thrown in but the I-team novels are great. They all intertwine in some way so if you get hooked youve got a list to go through.
Tad Williams Memory, Sorrow & Thorn or Melanie Rawn The Dragon Prince Trilogy & the follow up The Star Scroll Trilogy. All excellent fantasy with some romance thrown in. Happy New Year!!
Bess Crawford mysteries are great – setting is World War I and the protagonist is a highly competent combat nurse. Author is (mother & son team) Charles Todd. Enjoy!!
@Lori I’m going to start with the Pitt series, the first novel, The Cater Street Hangman, because I have that book in my bookshelf. The other series is the Monk series, and the first book is The Face of a Stranger. I always like to read series books in order. It might be fun to alternate between the two series. I think I will do that and get a feel as to which series I want to follow first, or maybe just alternate. I’ve read her Christmas novels and love them.
Alpha Omega is more romantic. Mercy is more mystery with a slow long burning romance. And Raine Benares is more action with romance and a love triangle. Oh yeah, Kim Harrison’s witch series is really good and she has several male companions before settling down at the end. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/30264.Dead_Witch_Walking?ac=1&from_search=true

A Song of Ice and Fire.
That’s a tough series to get through. And based on how long the books are, you really need a break between each of them.
I finished all 5 books within three months. I didn’t break.
