While I did like the book, I found it hard to trudge through and finish. Took me a while to remember to pick it up and read. One of the rare times I liked the movie better than the book.
It was my introduction to Stephen King. Now I have a very nice collection of his books and loved most of them. In my opinion no 1 is The Stand. I always get one of his books for Christmas and always start the New Year lost in his world ?
I love the movie, let us know how the book is in relation to the movie
@Carol I thought that the movie was one of the better adaptations. I read the book just before the film came out and loved them both
I just finished reading his latest.
Misery is one of two that I could just barely finish, and never read again. Great book though. And amazing movie.
One of my all time favorites!!!
My first Stephen King book. It started my lifelong (so far) love of his writing.
I loved that one!!

Ps I hope I haven’t just imagined that line otherwise my comment is strange!
Envy you
I just read it again last week! It’s amazing.
I always read Misery and Dolores Claiborne consecutively. (I’ve reread both at least 5 times.) I call it my ‘Kathy Bates Double Header’! 😀
@Debra omg I literally just did that
