“My soul has learned what it came to learn, and all the other things are just things. We can’t have everything that we want. Sometimes we just have to believe.”
We are burying my dog this week, so I needed to read Racing again. Normally I don’t read a book twice, but this time I needed the hopefulness found when he died.
The Art of Racing in the Rain ? also , one time I was on an airplane and I finished the book A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. I was crying so hard, people were getting up in their seats to look at me.??
“Lily and the Octopus” by Steven Rowley, (Also, “The Kite Runner” and “And the Mountains Echoed” and “A Thousand Splendid Suns” all by Khalid Hosseini.)
The last book I read that made me cry was either Marley and Me or The Art of Racing In the Rain. I’ve recently sworn off books like that though; they upset me for days!
When Breath Becomes Air
