Have a nice rest first… That’s your body and brain whispering “stop, please…” then resume your reading… Eventually, if you still can’t keep your eyes open, the book may simply be boring to tears!
Reading is part of my pre-bedtime routine. I prepare for bed, teeth brushed, face washed, etc, then turn out the main bedroom lights, turning on the narrow focus light next to the recliner by my bed and read. After about 15 to 20 minutes I begin to feel drowsy so light out, I crawl into bed and am usually asleep in minutes. So, I use drowsiness from reading to help me get a good night’s sleep. During the day, I read in a different chair in a different room. I don’t want to trigger sleep during the day. Make habit and routine work for you.
Idk when that used to happen to me I did take a nap for few minutes but after the nap I continued reading. I did that a few times and it helped. Now I don’t really fall asleep unless it’s like at night when I actually do need to sleep.
Read in bed ??
That is what I do 🙂
Sounds interesting, thank you. I’ll try it.
Walk and read.
could need glasses? I just found out i needed glasses(very slight prescription) because i get tired looking at computer screens and reading.
Coffee, or walk while reading
Read when you wake up
go to sleep and then when you wake up start to read?

I do much better if I read outside in natural daylight. If you’re feeling tired after a while get up and move around a bit and then start again.
Have a sleep then. You sound like you need it

That is life. I cant go to sleep at night without reading awhile first.

I am the same, but then there are nights that I will stay up to finish a book!
Happens all the time. I’ve dropped hardback books on my face more often than I’d like to admit. 😉
? one of the reasons why I don’t like hard cover books
Oh lord… same! And I can picture it! ❤️
