I preferred the books to the TV series. I liked how the books had their own arc but they were also part of a series. Liked her other, other series too, grave surprise, about a young woman struck by lightning and then has powers to help solve murders She’s a good writer
They’re good. First half is a bit better than the last half of the series. Too many new characters introduced with each book and not enough focus on older characters for me.
Thanks all! I have seen the majority of the series. I’m actually re watching it since I’m on maternity leave. But I’m considering ready the series also. I just wasn’t sure if it was worth the money!
I enjoyed them (up until the ending which I was disappointed by) Her writing is engaging. It’s not like the best writing in the world or a classic, literary masterpiece but the books are entertaining, funny, smutty and supernatural and worth a look. I enjoyed the tv series True Blood as well but they go off in wildly different directions!
Yes and they are wicked good books! The books are waayyy better than the show. Seasons 1&2 are really similar to books 1&2, but those are the only ones that are close to what was originally written. The last few seasons that aired were just ??? and were nothing like the books. Like, Bill being a weird blood God, that was so dumb lol. I won’t spoil who she ends up with in the end in the books, but she really should’ve ended up with him in the TV show. And I dunno about anyone else but I was super disappointed when they didn’t incorporate Quinn in the show
read them all. the first few books are exactly like the first few series. then the books stray some and stay some. I couldn’t get enough of true blood so not only did I get the show but in the books like the show and a whole other story too.
Charlene Harris taught me that romance and fantasy can be fun, both to read and write. I enjoyed the series. Certainly allowed me to write romance as a fun genre without quite as much angst as normal.
I haven’t. I have read Charlaine Harris’ other series, Aurora Teagarden. I’ve enjoyed that.
They’re so good! All her books are good.

I loved them and the audio books are great

I absolutely loved them!
Absolutely love these books
Love them!!
The books are very good!
I loved them. Very good
The books are fantastic. The storyline is different to the series as the creator of True Blood did not want the readers to know the storyline.
Brilliant series! I love all Charmaine Harris’s books, especially Aurora Teagarden
Loved it. Might read it again. Thanks for reminding me
I loved them
Loved them ??
True Blood
Love em ?
Love them!! But I love all her books!!

Yes im the third book very good.have you seen true blood its based on the books
I’ve seen most of the series but I’m rewatching it while I’m on maternity leave. When I go back to work I’ll be able to pick up reading again.
I’m reading them right now. So good!
No but I have a few on my kindle app I want to read.
i liked them 🙂 but i actually preferred the tv series based off it.
Entertaining
I enjoyed them, I definitely didn’t love them, but I didn’t hate them either
I enjoyed them enough to read them all. Wouldn’t read them again though.
Loved them! The show on HBO- not so much. Go for the books on this one. If you watch the show first. you might never pick up the first book
I likes the early ones, then they get repetitive
Loved them- light hearted and fun- very different from the show
I liked them, kind of fun scary
I loved them. It’s like it’s own little world and you’re sad to have read the final one.
Nothing like the show..The show was okay with parts that irritated me as they deviated too much.
There was even one episode where I quit watching the show because they were turning Sookie into a ho.
I liked them , fun reading but still kept me hooked for next book
Ill have to read them. I’ve watched the show.
Yes I enjoyed them. The aurora Teagarden are better.
Read them. If you watched true blood, the TV series doesn’t follow the books much after season 1. Books were really good
I enjoyed them at the time
I liked them. Read them all. Loved the little world Charlaine created
I loved the books! Easy reads that were a lot of fun!
Love
Naked in Death – J.D Robb

@Amber im currently on book 3
Nice! Wheres abouts are you in it? I totally love Alcide in books and tv! They picked the perfect actor for him in the show ?
Easy reads and entertaining. Not winning a Pulitzer but enjoyable nonetheless
I read the first one which was good. But prefer the tv show ?♀️
Loved the series

Books were great! I liked watching the show too, but not so much towards the end of the series.
Love that series!
I looooooove them!!
I enjoyed them light quick reads.
Loved them
Loved them
Loved it!
I’ve read them all, the first few and good but then they get a bit Meh. The fourth is the best.
