Creative visualization by shakti Gawain. The book gives you some guidance on how to meditate using different techniques and also guides you on making positive affirmations. Worked for me.
Leslie Thompson, your link is absolutely terrific! And, Nathan Smith, don’t laugh, but The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Meditation is excellent. I teach meditation (and yoga) and have found it to be one of the most helpful. There are many different “techniques” of meditating. Not every technique is great for everyone. Don’t give up if one you try doesn’t resonate. You can also PM me if you want more info. And good for you for exploring… Headspace is a great site with guided audio meditations: https://www.headspace.com/.
Be the Change by Ed and Deb Shapiro (anthology of writings re: meditation from different meditation practitioners) and Wherever You Go, There You Are by Jon Kabat Zinn. The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer is more about mindfulness but has been very helpful in my meditation practice — it’s one of the best books I’ve ever read and I highly recommend it.
10% Happier. I would also suggest the Insight app. There are many guided meditation sessions that will walk you through the steps. I would HIGHLY suggest Sarah Blondin’s Live Awake course. Also, on SoundCloud LuLuLemon has a week long series by Daniella Mika Nagal that is a good introduction.
Anything by Pema Chodron.
I can’t find that.
When Things Fall Apart?
I meant any of her books.
Ah! Ok
Taking the Path of Zen
Full Catastrophe Living by John Cabot Zinn — mindfulness and meditation.

The Naked Now by Richard Rohr
10% Happier by Dan Harris describes a very down-to-earth, pragmatic approach to meditation.
Yes!

His guided meditations are my favorite.
I agree! He has a great soothing voice. Also currently reading his latest book Sacred Powers which I recommend
