Depends. Usually I’ll just read the last 15-20% of the previous book to get ready, but with a favorite series I’ll reread the previous book. This year I reread the entire Arcana Chronicles before the 6th book came out and I loved it!
Chocolate Lovers/Chocoholics and Neighbor From Hell are the only series i’ve re-read at least 3-10 times lol and usually after a year has passed
I have two series i reread everytime a new book comes out and of course I read Harry Potter like once a year at least
three series’s; The Witcher series, Cassandra Claire’s Mortal Instruments (just the first 3) and Daughter of Smoke and Bone series by laini Taylor. .
All the time I just re read the new world series by Jennifer Wilson when I re read books I tend to read things I missed the first time
