I’ll be starting college so I’ve cut my challenge down to only 20 books this year. Last year I didn’t start my challenge until September so I only read 14 books from then till now.
I’ve just got a number I’m aiming for this year. one year I read only graphic novels and comics another year I read only novels by women of colour. there’s lots of interesting ways to expand one’s reading ay?
Good luck! The biggest problem is that people just keep on writing new books! Oh and the second biggest problem is all the recommendations in this group! ???
I should just read books from my own library. If I request them from the library, there is a priority to read & return them by a certain date so I read those first…..
I’m doing two. First one is my 50/50 list. I have a list of 50 books I’d like to read before I turn 50. I have 2 years to do this (most are classics). I’m also doing around the year in 52 books again (goodreads challenge). Last year I read 35 out of the 52 so will try again.
I decided a while ago to simply read what I want, when I want. I read for pleasure and to enrich my knowledge of the craft. I liken it being in school because I want to learn versus wanting to get an A+ in a class.
I’m setting my Goodreads reading goal at 60 books. I don’t have any particular titles in mind, just going to read whatever catches my eye as we go through the year ?

I’m doing this one too
There’s a yearly popsugar reading challenge group.
I’m preparing for this one too.
I’m setting my Goodreads goal at 75 books.
Blimey 😮
I read 84 this year, and that was even with being sick and unable to read for 2 months. 🙂
Two books a month….24 total
I’ve decided to start my own challenge to read all my unread books before buying any new books. Lol.
This was my challenge last year – I failed ???
Hahaha. Let’s see how far I can get. Hopefully, I can get through a month at least.

That’s what I need to do! I think this year I’ll TRY not to buy any new books. I’ll try to read the ones I have waiting to be read
this is soooooo hard. power to you lol 🙂
Haha, I decided the exact same thing today. I have about 25 to read???
@Emma so true!
I say that all the time then
‘ ooh I’ll just take a teeny tiny peep at the bestsellers list then BOOM!!!!!!:-D

Book Riot
I created my own reading goal by adding a shelf on goodreads. I select between 10 and 15 books out of my to read list. I can’t set a goal by volume.
I’ll do the Goodreads challenge and I’ve already signed up for the Historical Fiction Reading Challenge hosted by Passages to the Past here http://www.passagestothepast.com/2017/12/2018-historical-fiction-reading.html
My goal is 50 books this year and at least 5 of them I want to be memiors

I think I’ll just track and see how far I get.
Question: if I started a giant book in Dec, and finish in Jan, can I count that toward 2018?
yep
yay!
Every year
