@Patricia has two novels released in her Detective Lottie Parker series – The Missing Ones and The Stolen Girls. Both set in the fictional town of Ragmullin in Ireland(she’s from Mullingar arf arf) it is one of the superior current female detective series that are on the market. Highly recommended.
If you’re looking Northern Irish – try Adrian McKinty’s Sean Duffy series – brilliant crime noir. If you’re looking for “written by an Irish guy but stories based in Camden London” then take a look at Ian Andrew’s Wright & Tran Novels…
Has anyone mentioned Tana French’s Dublin Murder Squad series? Was in Hodges Figgis bookstore in Dublin last November and her books took up a whole shelf. Each narrated by different detective in the unit. Extremely inventive and well written.
There are loads of great ones, but most recently @Caimh‘s got a couple of clever, funny, thoroughly good crime novels set in Ireland. Start with A Man With One of those Faces.
