I almost never watch the movie first, but I did in this case. It was so heartbreaking that I’ll probably never read the book. I’ve read the third book in the series, though, and it was lovely.
I watched last night, for like the 6th time… still an ugly cry. Like, sobbing, snotting, hiccuping, ugly cry. Very close to the book. They omitted some minor details, but I found it very true to the source.
I’m usually not a fan of movies when I’ve read the book first. This movie was an exception. It was very well done. Loved it! Yes, I ugly cried at the movie too…both times I watched it.
Movie was an excellent adaptation. Definitely an UGLY cry. It was fun to see some of the details come to life.
And the book (turned into movie) nerd in me couldn’t help but notice that Daenerys Targaryen is dating Neville Longbottom when she meets Finnick Odair.
I didn’t cry in the movie I think because I was still bitter about the book(completely blindsided by the ending, everyone just said it was such a good book).
So, I’ve seen this movie probably 20 times, and thanks to you guys talking about it for the last week, I just watched it again. And I’m still ugly crying. My face is all red and blotchy, and my glasses are covered in tears. Thanks a whole bunch. ????
Yes! It’s a good movie.
Thanks Robyn…didn’t want it to spoil the book!
Great book. Be prepared with tissues.
The book is better, but the movie is still very good.
Yes, I really enjoyed it.
Oh excellent
I just bought the book and haven’t started it, but I did see the movie.
So read the book, and the movie came out like a month later!! Loved the movie!!
Book better per usual …. movie okay … enjoy both!
??????
It has a good soundtrack but the book and movie made me very angry
I just finished that book and was wondering the same thing. I’m on the 2nd book of the triology
I almost never watch the movie first, but I did in this case. It was so heartbreaking that I’ll probably never read the book. I’ve read the third book in the series, though, and it was lovely.

Oooohhh…love me some GOT!!! I’ll keep my eye out for this?
lol. She’s completely different in this role. She’s an excellent actor.
I didn’t cry in the movie I think because I was still bitter about the book(completely blindsided by the ending, everyone just said it was such a good book).
It was good. Very controversial though by disability rights activists.
I’m afraid it won’t live up to the book.
The Book was Better! But the movie isn’t bad
The book is better, but I enjoyed the movie
Loved both the movie and the book. Although the book has a lot more of the funny things in it. More ha ha moments.
Only saw the movie…very good but ???
The book is always better, but the movie was good too. Stayed pretty true to the book. I heard they are making a movie on After You.
They could make movies on all three, as long as they KEEP THE SAME ACTORS! I’d love it to be a trilogy!!
Very good movie!
I enjoyed both. Loved Emilia Clark and Sam Claflin in the lead roles. Definitely agree that the book was better, but still worth watching.
Yes I cried
I pretty much always like books better than the movies, but the movie was enjoyable.
Thanks for all the great feedback! I’m going for it and tissues are nearby?
Just watched it Saturday morning…loved it!!!
Yes! Worth it!!!
I did. I thought they did a decent job sticking to the story. Enjoyable enough.
Yes. So good. Have tissue ready.
It’s was so good. Watched on a plane ride home from Ireland. Luckily, I’d read the book and knew what was coming, but I still got soooo emotional.
So good.
I loved the book and thought they did a great job with the movie. The casting was great and they stayed close to story as written.
I liked it!
Loved it ?
Yes but the book is better.

It was alright. Not my favorite story.
Actress is adorable!
So good. Be prepared to ugly cry!

I found the main character in the movie much more likable than the book. I really enjoyed both.
Amazing
