Such smart women making important contributions without recognition for so long. I think it is great when a writer researches and writes these stories.
I liked it a lot! A friend loaned it to me, and I am so glad she did, because I might not have picked it up on my own. Such an interesting story; it makes me wonder how many other amazing women have gone before us and why their stories haven’t been told.
I found it interesting and really enjoyed it but I am biased. My Dad worked there and I didn’t get much of an idea of the project. I always wanted to know more about it. The book filled in some blanks and gave me a feel about the work and life of those living there. Since I read the book I hope to visit the area.
I have it in my pile of TBR!
So do I!
It is excellent; you will be shocked that this community existed.
Like Hidden Figures?
The author has a new book called The Last Castle being released on 9/26
@Monica very much like Hidden Figures!

I bet there are many more.
I did and enjoyed it a lot. What strong women!
I also liked it very much.
I read that last winter. It’s a long read and can be a little boring at times as it goes through the lives of all the women but I did like it.
It was much better than I thought it would be.

On my shelf waiting.
One of my book clubs read it, and we all like it.
Been there. Fascinating story.
I did and I enjoyed it
I read it a couple years ago. I loved the story, but the science got to be a little long winded for me. O enjoyed it though!
