I am reading her latest book now. I have read all of her books and she is one of my favorite authors. There is humor and a bit of mysticism always intelligent.
I have not read the whole series yet…her books are ones I gravitate towards when I need a brain break from heavier non-fiction reading. Set in Montreal and Three Pines, it is not quite a cozy read…more mental meat but not quite as dark and heavy as say Linda Fairstein or Kathy Reichs.
I like both of those authors too but what is up with them. No new books in ages. I do find Louis penny deep, beautiful , frequently sad, often funny, both slyly clever and sometimes ribald with a lo of mystery, conflict, and a mystical light.
I have gotten away from reading mysteries a bit. Still read the Charles Todd series as they come out, and Flavia de Luce. Ruth the poet cracks me up in the Louise Penny series.
I have read each and every book she has written, including her most recent. Truly original mystery writer and if Three Pines was real, I would move there in a heartbeat!!
Yes. Very good stories
I have not. But I keep seeing people talk about her books. Do they go in order?
pretty much especially the newer ones.
Yes! I’ve read all but the last two! Saving them to savour? start with the first and read them in order!
