Has anyone read louise Pennny
Yes. Very good stories
I have not. But I keep seeing people talk about her books. Do they go in order?
pretty much especially the newer ones.
Yes! I’ve read all but the last two! Saving them to savour😊 start with the first and read them in order!
I have read all her books, love them. She is a great Canadian author.
Yes. I read all her books. Read them in order. They all flow with on another.
I love all the characters in her inspector Gamache books!!!😄
@Irene so do I. I can’t wait until the next release.
Just started. Almost done with still life. Its ok
Very popular author here on the Canadian border in northern New York
I read one and I hated it
I thought it was just me!!!! So dry…could not get into it.
Read them all and loved every one!
I am reading her latest book now. I have read all of her books and she is one of my favorite authors. There is humor and a bit of mysticism always intelligent.
I have not read the whole series yet…her books are ones I gravitate towards when I need a brain break from heavier non-fiction reading. Set in Montreal and Three Pines, it is not quite a cozy read…more mental meat but not quite as dark and heavy as say Linda Fairstein or Kathy Reichs.
I like both of those authors too but what is up with them. No new books in ages. I do find Louis penny deep, beautiful , frequently sad, often funny, both slyly clever and sometimes ribald with a lo of mystery, conflict, and a mystical light.
I have gotten away from reading mysteries a bit. Still read the Charles Todd series as they come out, and Flavia de Luce. Ruth the poet cracks me up in the Louise Penny series.
rosa the duck
Not yet. I have 2 or 3 books but not sure which genre it is..and the whole “when im in _____ mood then i should one of them”
Liked the one I read very much.
Love Louise Penny!
Have read every one and loved them all!!! (Pam)
I just read “Still Life” I liked it a lot! So much that I bought 3 more books in the series!
I have read each and every book she has written, including her most recent. Truly original mystery writer and if Three Pines was real, I would move there in a heartbeat!!
