Five Smooth Stones
Have you read it?
Yes, in 1971…I think I liked it! Too long ago to remember!?
Yes. Years ago, I forgot about book. Loved it.
Yes, a wonderful book!!
Yes…years ago. Is it still in print?
Yes it is still available
Oh yes yes yes. It was life changing for me. Opened my eyes to racism. I still have my copy from the 1960s. And I still think of it often.
Yes, many years ago, but I still remember it.
Yes. Looooong ago. I remember liking it.
One of my favorite books of all time. Like Donna, I have my copy from the 60’s.
Wow-Didn’t know anyone but me knew about this book-I read this book years & years ago and really, really liked it. Glad to know I’m not the only one.
Who’s the author?
Irving Stone I think.
@Ruth Thank you!
I’m wrong. ? There’s a book called Five Smooth Stones by Ann Fairbairn. I was thinking of a book about the Biblical David but I was mistaken on that too. I googled Irving Stone and it doesn’t mention his being the author of that. I apologize.
@Ruth That’s alright. Thank you for letting me know.
I still have my copy. It is an incredible book.
I read it a couple of years ago after my Aunt recommended it as a favorite of hers. It was fabulous!
@Nanci Thank you
I’ve read it twice, which speaks volumes for me. Will always be in my top 5.
An all-time favorite.
Many years ago
You convinced me to read it!
This was my favorite book many many years ago – but unfortunately it carries mores of the time it was written so I would say appreciate it as a period piece – like Advice and Consent- and enjoy the love story and the story of friendships
In my TBR pile. My aunt said it was her favorite book.
My mother’s favorite book.
Long, long ago..
