All time favorite audiobook was The Invention of Wings Sue Monk Kidd Just finished Every Note Played Lisa Genova And just started The Magician’s Assistant Ann Patchett I listen at the gym and a bit more at times of stress Libby is great
Misunderstood the question! Anyhow, I’m almost all audiobook now due to visual issues from MS. Great readers make even so-so books (or dry topics) enjoyable, great readers and great authors combined are magical, and a bad reader (luckily becoming rarer) can make even a masterpiece insufferable.
Any of the Spencer Quinn novels about detective Bernie Little and his dog, Chet. So funny!! (These are adult novels although that sounds like a kid story. )
Harry Bosch series. Especially those narrated by Titus Welliver. Also David Balducci’s Amos Decker series and the other series which name escapes me. ( about a CIA guy)
ThebTalisman Ring by Georgette Heyer, read by Phyllida Nash, is a fqvourite. She does the voices so well and is so funny. Spike Milligsn’s wqr memorus read by himself are very good. Nice to hear the books read by the act ual author.
Room by Emma Donoghue. The character telling the story is a little boy and I felt more connected to him in the audiobook form more then the physical book or the movie.
I got the audio of A Gentleman in Moscow from my library for my husband and I to listen to on our 7 hour road trip yesterday. We’re into the 3rd disc, and so far I have no incentive to continue. When we head home tomorrow, I’m going to try again and hope we can get to a point we don’t want it to end!
Orphan X series because the narrator brings it to life. It’s a thriller if you like those
Not in here’s a book read it form, but in audio, things are different. I will give anything a shot. 🙂
Born a crime by Trevor Noah

“Neverwhere”, written and read by Neil Gaiman. Exciting, thoroughly lovely book. And read by NEIL GAIMAN.
He knows and loves the power of audio. I once heard an interview with him where he said that he writes to be read aloud!
