It depends on how easy it is for me to read. If I’m extremely engaged and can’t put it down then I’ll read straight through it. But if I’m enjoying it and just having problems get as engaged, I’ll break it up so it doesn’t feel as much like a chore. I read hunger games, divergent, and maze runner straight through because they were easy to read, fast moving, and a little shorter. However, I’m reading other books in between Stephen King’s Mr. Mercedes trilogy because it’s just a little harder for me to stay engaged
I try to wait for the entire series if possible. I read all the books to The Mortal Instruments except the last book (it wasn’t out yet) and then tried to read it, but felt completely disconnected from the series. I am waiting to finish my current book so I can reread the series in full.
Both. I’ve definitely read the Harry Potter books start to finish without breaking them up. Probably more than once. But nowadays I’m getting most of my books from the library and so I’m breaking them up with stuff in between.
Depends on the series. If it feels like a quicker, riveting read with a cliffhanger ending, I’ll continue on to the next one. If it’s a series like Game of Thrones (which take a while to get through), I’ll take an extended break between books and read something shorter and lighter.
It depends. If it’s a very long series, or if I don’t have immediate access to all the books in a series, I’ll break it up. If the series is fairly short (like 3 or 4 books) and they are all readily available, I’ll do them back to back. That’s what I did last summer with the “Beautiful” series by Kami Garcia (Beautiful Creatures, Beautiful Chaos, etc etc). Sometimes I’ll get in to a ‘sensory overload’ kind of thing with a series and just NEED a break. I got like that last summer with the Anita Blake series. I read books 5-10 in pretty solid succession and just NEEDED a break. I haven’t gotten back to them since…. I plan to, at some point.
Most of the time I won’t start reading a series until I’ve got them all up to the most current book published, then I will read the entire series through. If it’s a series like JD Robb/Nora Roberts where its still going strong beyond 50 books I break it up for sure
Depends on the series
I break them up. I am working on Elizabeth George, Bernard knight, Terry Pratchett, Gail carriger and Veronica Roth at the moment ?

Break them up. Usually because I am either waiting on the library. Or the next book to be released.
That’s usually what I do
I try to read the whole series but if I start getting burnt out I take a break from it and read something else but usually I finish it.

One after another
if it’s available, I binge
Depends on the series.

I break it up.
break it up usually
I read the whole series if I can get hold of all the series at the same time.
Definitely binge!
I usually break it up
depends on the series for me.
Read til it no longer exciting
I’ve always read straight through until recently. Currently, I’m alternating between three very different ones and I like it.
One after another
I’m all in. I’ve been reading the Game of Thrones books for 3 months now. I’m almost done with book 4 and ready to start book 5.
break it up, I get so bored after just two books in a series
I try to break it up!

I like to read them as written but my library is so small they don’t carry them all and want 2.00 a but to get from another library
I start series in the early days and wait forever and a year for the next book. If I start later, I read the entire series

Usually one after the other until I have to wait for them to be written.
