I just read this for the first time this past summer because it was one of the required summer readings for my kid and I read it along with him so he could have someone to discuss things with. LOVED this book and so happy I read it. One of my top faves.
I re-read this just last year. Still as wonderful as I remembered from thirty years ago. As a film adaptation it’s pretty spot on too, the dialogue lifted straight from page to screen.
I had to read it in 6th grade. Read the whole book overnight and stole it from school at the end of the reading assignment lol. I still have it somewhere.
