When I was reading it my son asked me what it was about and I told him it was about something that happened at a BBQ. He asked what and I told him I didn’t know yet. 2 days later he asked me what happened at the BBQ and I told him I still didn’t know ??
I liked the other books I’ve read by her, but Truly Madly Guilty was not great. I thought it was predictable, the whole amnesia thing was weird, and the mother/hoarder subplot wasn’t necessary.
I have picked it up almost a dozen times only to put it back down after reading a few more chapters. I absolutely loved almost all of her books but I was disappointed in this one.
It caused me a lot of anxiety as I was reading. I wound up having to read a synopsis of it so I could stop being so on edge. Once I did that I thoroughly enjoyed it
Nope. Other than What Alice Forgot and Big Little Lies I have been disappointed in all her other books. But keep reading them bc I enjoy her writing style and always hoping to strike gold with the next!
I’ve never read a book by her that I didn’t like.
Is that the party one? I didn’t love it
It is my least favourite of hers…just tell me what happened at the bbq!!
@Zoey don’t know if I will finish this book.
Same. I’m on ch 24 of the audiobook and I still haven’t found out…UGH.
@Judy I finished it, and there is a life lesson to learn from the book, but it took me around 290pages to finally get into it…uugghh

@Zoey I will keep going…thanks.

Yes! It wasn’t my favorite but I still find myself thinking about it occasionally.
I love reviews that include spoilers. I’m funny like that.
Didn’t care for it. Hated the timeline bouncing around.
I just couldn’t get into it
If this is the one about the barbecue, I hated it. Which devastated me as a reader bc I have LOVED her other books.
Oh no. I fairly started it but haven’t picked it back up.
I have picked it up almost a dozen times only to put it back down after reading a few more chapters. I absolutely loved almost all of her books but I was disappointed in this one.
I liked it! Listened on audible..
No!
My least favorite of her books.
hated it!
I agree. Least favorite and actually hated it!
Oh, I really enjoyed it.
Meh
The storyline stretched on too long. It was suspenseful for a bit and then it was just annoying.
Yes
Yep!
No. I could barely get through it.
It was just ok
yes. it was a while ago, but yes as i recall i did!!
Not my favorite and I love her books
Yes
Absolutely
Loooved it
It was just OK compared to her other books.
Loved!
Not as good as some of her others.
It’s themes were too muddled. Like others have said, my least favorite.
I agree that it’s not as good as her others. Just about to start Nine Perfect Strangers. Anyone read it?
Get ready for a ride. Block out some time and stick with it. The first 10% was a little slow for me.
I read the preview copy and really liked it.
I wasn’t a huge fan
It wasn’t my favorite but I enjoyed it.
NO! This is the only one of hers I didn’t like. I couldn’t read it, I skipped to the end and returned it to my library.
It was fine, but I feel like the climax was 2/3s of the way through, and then it droned on.
No
i’m trying to stick with it right now but am feeling like I ought to give up.
I’m starting it tomorrow…I ordered it for like $3 from ThriftBooks and ended up getting a signed copy.
Yes!
I’m going to see Liane Moriarty tomorrow at the Miami Book Fair!! I haven’t read anything of hers, but I have a couple of books.
yes
I did!
I couldn’t get into it and never finished. Usually I love her stuff
Not I.
It caused me a lot of anxiety as I was reading. I wound up having to read a synopsis of it so I could stop being so on edge. Once I did that I thoroughly enjoyed it
I said NG sorry
Not as much as her others.
Not really. It was just sad to me.
Nope. Other than What Alice Forgot and Big Little Lies I have been disappointed in all her other books. But keep reading them bc I enjoy her writing style and always hoping to strike gold with the next!
I’m laughing because that’s the one on my nightstand that I haven’t picked back up after starting it about a month ago! Why is it so thick!?!
I can’t get into it st all.
It was good!
the First one of hers that didn’t work for me. Put me off picking up he new one!
It was good but really really slow.
It was just ok for me. I still don’t see why any of their actions were a big deal. The kid didn’t even die.
I loved it!!
Nope, definitely a slow read and the climax wasn’t as crazy as big little lies
@Annie agree!!
Didn’t like it…just found the people weird
I enjoyed it.
Not my favorite of her books, but I still enjoyed it.
Currently rereading it, very much enjoyed
On my tbr.
I liked it!! 🙂
No
It took me three times to get thru it… not my favorite
Yes
I have read her Big Little Lies, and The Husbands Secret. I liked them didnt love them
I loved Big Little Lies, and Truly Madly Guiltily. I hated The Anniversary and just starting 9 Perfect Strangers
I started it months ago and keep trying to get into it and it’s just not happening ??♀️??
I started it but set it down. Just couldn’t get into it … it was so slooooooooow.
Nope.
Nope
It was alright. Not her best, in my opinion
l liked the book but not the some of the characters which I think was the author’s objective and therefore made it a good book for me.
