why? I’ve been dragging my feet on reading it
The book did a great job at building up the suspense and making you believe that a big life changing event took place – which takes up most of the book. And “The event” is not as exciting as believed.

I like it, after chapter 3 or 4 (short chapters) when i understood the narrative
I couldn’t even finish it. It just didn’t pull me in. They kept dancing around this cookout and I just didn’t get it

I have read literally everything else of hers, but for some reason, never this one. I bought it, it’s been sitting on my Kindle for about a year, but I don’t think I’ll bother now.
It’s different but I thought very good… more internal.
