John Scalzi. He has become my favorite Sci Fi writer. Try Old Man’s War or Fuzzy Nation. Redshirts is also good. Have you read Ready Player One? It’s really good and a fun read.
Some recent favorites include Here Comes the Sun by Nicole Dennis-Benn, Do Not Say We Have Nothing by Madeleine Thien, and A House Without Windows by Nadia Hashimi.
So many great books, too little time. I loved Practical Magic, The Help, Low Country, The Handmaid’s Tale, The Beekeeper’s Apprentice, P.S. I Love You, Tara Road, and then there are the classics.
